Heating for stamping

       
The chamber furnace is intended to heat workpieces of aluminum alloys for stamping. The furnace is accomplished in a welded frame of metal sections and contains a working chamber made of stainless steel sheets.
The electric furnace is equipped with fans generating an intensive air circulation in the working volume to increase the rate of charge convective heating. Air movement directions are determined by shields of heat-resistant steel forming the working chamber. The system of forced circulation of the furnace atmosphere gives high temperature distribution homogeneity in the whole volume of the working chamber.
The furnace is heated by coiled heaters arranged against sidewalls and the hearth, behind protective shields.

The electric furnace has two doors. The main full-height door swings aside. The auxiliary door is arranged in the main door and is automatically lifted upwards by hydraulic cylinders after pressing the corresponding button on the control cabinet panel or pressing the pedal down.

      The system of temperature profile control in the furnace uses an advanced microprocessor-based device which can be connected to a computer. Computer software provides registration and storage of technological process data in the database. The data can be represented in graphic and tabulated form, have data timing and can be printed out..

 

Operation principle:

The charge of aluminum alloys is loaded into the furnace through the open door. After heating-up, the operator opens the auxiliary door, picks one workpiece up through the door opening by clippers and transports it to the stamp unit. The operation is then repeated till the last workpiece. After that, a new batch is loaded.
Two thermocouples are installed in the furnace: an adjusting one and an emergency one. The adjusting thermocouple is connected to a measuring and adjusting unit and its feedback is used to control and adjust temperature. The emergency thermocouple is connected to a device which is intended for shutdown at a sharp temperature rise.

 

Distinctive features of the furnaces to heat workpieces for stamping are as follows:

·         Advanced technologies and materials increase the service life of the furnace including heating elements and insulating materials.

·         High temperature distribution uniformity in the whole volume of the working chamber.

·         Possibility to adjust the rate of smooth heating and cooling workpieces being treated by means of a simple and operationally reliable programmer with a user-friendly interface.

·         Rapid opening of the working entry by the hydraulic drive with the pedal switch.
