Water quenching baths (aluminium workpieces quenching)

        The article "Закалка в управляемом потоке масла - новый взгляд на привычные проблемы"

        The quenching baths are predestinated for quenching aluminum workpieces and accomplished in a form of one-piece component. They do not require additional assembling at the installation site (except for connections to water supply).

        To organize a highly effective one-side laminar circulation of the quenching liquid in the bath, custom designed agitators and deflectors are mounted for duly movement of the circulated flow in the bath volume.

        For automated keeping temperature, the baths are equipped with a control cabinet (wall-mounted embodiment) which controls the temperature adjusting units by measuring the quenching liquid temperature and using an advanced temperature controller:

  •  to heat-up the quenching medium if its temperature underreaches the range of optimal values (the baths are equipped with electric heaters);
  • to cool the quenching liquid by flowing water if temperature overreaches the range of optimal values (the baths are equipped with a heat exchanger).
        The only task of the heat-treater is to place a workpiece or a basket with workpieces into the bath. Additional manual operations to break the vapor barrier are not necessary.

Advantages of the quenching baths produced by Nakal:
  • The quenching liquid stirred mechanically breaks the vapor barrier a great deal better than bubbling compressed air and excludes superficial stains.
